  1. The Indian junior men’s hockey team won the bronze medal at the Sultan of Johor Cup 2023 after beating Pakistan 6-5 in a shootout.
  2. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) released the 2024 Asia-Pacific Human Development Report titled ‘Making our Future: New Directions for Human Development in Asia and the Pacific’ which paints a mixed picture of India’s development journey.
  3. The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has established a Center of Excellence (CoE) named ATMAN (Advanced Technologies for Monitoring Air-quality iNdicators), which is focusing on building indigenous low-cost sensor manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) capabilities to enhance air quality across urban and rural areas of India.
  4. Indian Army in collaboration with the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS) organised the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2023, a two-day event on 3 and 4 November, with a focus on addressing security challenges in South Asia and the Indo-Pacific region.
